The first step is to complete and submit the pre-visit questionnaires for your hospital. During this phase, hospitals also prepare the agenda and documentation for the site visit. For advanced versions, we recommend dedicating one to two days to completing the questionnaire and preparing the required documents prior to your facility’s assessment.
The second step involves an on-site visit to your hospital. Depending on the program, the visit lasts from a half-day to two days. Led by expert anesthesiologists, these site visits focus on quality assurance, drawing from their experience at leading institutions. During the visit, Hoopcare partners meet with your hospital’s leadership across specialties. The visit includes meetings with anesthesiologists and leadership, group discussions, closed-door sessions, and file reviews, culminating in a final meeting where preliminary findings are shared with all participants.
The third step in the verification process is the preparation of a personalized report that summarizes the results of the site visit. This detailed report highlights the key areas of focus for your hospital and provides concrete recommendations, serving as a roadmap for improving care and acquiring the necessary resources for a quality program in the operating room.sae

While the overall results show good compliance with recommended practices, several critical areas were identified, requiring immediate corrective actions. This report presents a detailed analysis of the identified risks, along with the associated recommendations to ensure high-quality care and patient safety.

The Hoopcare Quality Verification is available to all hospitals and offers two participation options, Hoopcare QVP Standard and Hoopcare QVP Advanced Verification.
Both options are available to Hoopcare and non-Hoopcare hospitals and include:
- Assessment of all Hoopcare QVP standards at both the hospital and specialty-level, as applicable,
- Customized, actionable recommendations for building and improving surgical quality infrastructure through a site visit and written report,
- Insight into factors beyond the typical scope of quality initiatives—including leadership, safety culture, and standardization across the five phases of care
- For Hoopcare hospitals, the use of Hoopcare data to inform the site visit structure and guide discussion throughout the visit.
It is recommended that most hospitals start with the Hoopcare QVP Standard Verification option, as it will serve as a gap analysis and provide detailed feedback on how to prioritize resources and opportunities for improvement as hospitals prepare for the Hoopcare QVP Advanced Verification.
Hoopcare hospitals are eligible to participate in Hoopcare QVP Standard Verification as part of their annual Hoopcare participation fee. Additional fees apply for participation in Hoopcare QVP Advanced Verification.
